Who we are

Practical coaching, not motivational fluff.

Our lead business coach

Built on real operating experience

Leading Edge Biz Coaching started because too many small businesses were paying for advice that sounded good in a seminar but fell apart on Monday morning. Our coaching programmes are grounded in the day-to-day reality of running a company: cash flow timing, staff issues, pricing decisions, and the hundred small choices that add up over a quarter.

We have coached over 120 businesses since we opened our doors, from solo consultants to manufacturing firms with 80+ employees. Every engagement begins with a structured diagnostic. We look at your financials, your team structure, your sales pipeline, and how you actually spend your time each week. Then we build a 90-day action plan together, with specific milestones rather than vague aspirations.

Our office sits in Wales, and most of our clients are based across England and Wales, though we also coach remotely for clients elsewhere in the UK and occasionally in Ireland. Sessions happen weekly or fortnightly, depending on the pace that suits you.

What we offer

Six coaching programmes designed around the problems business owners actually face.

Strategic planning

We facilitate a full-day planning session for your leadership team, then distil the output into a one-page strategic plan with quarterly targets. Clients revisit the plan each month with their coach to check progress and adjust priorities.

Leadership development

Coaching for new managers and senior leaders who need to delegate better, run productive meetings, and handle difficult conversations. Sessions run one-to-one, typically fortnightly, over a six-month programme.

Financial clarity coaching

Many owners struggle to read their own accounts. We walk you through your P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecast until you can spot problems weeks before they bite. This programme usually runs for three months.

Sales and pipeline coaching

We review your current sales process, identify where prospects drop off, and build a follow-up system you can actually maintain. Clients typically see a 15-25% increase in conversion rates within the first quarter.

Accountability partnerships

Weekly 30-minute check-ins by video call. You set three commitments each week, and your coach holds you to them. Simple, direct, and surprisingly effective for owners who tend to get pulled into firefighting.

Team workshops

Half-day or full-day facilitated workshops on communication, goal-setting, or operational efficiency. We bring the materials and run the session at your premises or online. Groups of 4 to 20 people.

What changes when you work with us

Specific outcomes our clients report after the first 90 days.

Clearer weekly priorities

Owners stop reacting to whatever lands in their inbox and start working from a structured weekly plan tied to quarterly goals.

Better cash position

Clients who complete our financial clarity programme reduce average debtor days by 12 days within the first quarter.

Fewer hours, same output

By identifying the two or three tasks that consume disproportionate time, we help owners reclaim an average of six hours per week.

A team that takes ownership

Leadership coaching gives your managers the confidence to make decisions without escalating every issue to you.

How it works

Four steps from first call to measurable progress.

1

Discovery call

A free 30-minute video call where we learn about your business and you decide whether coaching feels like the right fit.

2

Business diagnostic

We review your financials, operations, and time allocation over one to two sessions. This gives us a shared picture of where the gaps are.

3

90-day plan

Together we set three to five concrete goals for the next quarter, with weekly milestones and a clear owner for each action.

4

Ongoing coaching

Weekly or fortnightly sessions keep you on track. We review what happened, solve problems as they arise, and adjust the plan when circumstances change.

What our clients say

Real feedback from business owners we have worked with.

Before coaching, I was working 60-hour weeks and still felt behind. Within two months, my coach helped me delegate properly for the first time. I now finish most Fridays by 3pm, and revenue is actually up 11% this year.

Owner, interior design firm

The financial clarity sessions changed how I think about my business. I used to dread opening Xero. Now I check the dashboard every Monday and actually understand what the numbers mean. That confidence alone was worth the investment.

Director, logistics company

We brought the whole management team into a workshop and it shifted the culture overnight. People stopped waiting for permission and started owning their areas. Six months on, staff turnover has dropped from 28% to 9%.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the things people ask most before signing up.

How long does a typical coaching engagement last?

Most clients work with us for six to twelve months. The first 90 days focus on quick wins and building habits. After that, sessions shift toward longer-term strategic work. Some clients continue with monthly check-ins for years.

Can sessions happen online?

Yes. About 70% of our sessions run over Zoom or Microsoft Teams. In-person sessions are available for clients in Wales and nearby areas. Workshops can be delivered at your premises anywhere in the UK, with travel costs agreed upfront.

What size of business do you work with?

Our clients range from sole traders turning over £80k to companies with 80 employees and £5m in revenue. The common thread is an owner or leadership team that wants to improve how the business operates, not just grow for the sake of it.

How much does coaching cost?

One-to-one coaching starts at £450 per month for fortnightly sessions. Weekly sessions are £750 per month. Workshops are priced per session, typically between £1,200 and £2,400 depending on duration and group size. We discuss pricing openly on the discovery call.

What if coaching is not the right fit for me?

That happens, and we would rather tell you honestly than take your money. If the discovery call suggests you need a different kind of support, such as a fractional CFO or a specific technical consultant, we will say so and point you in the right direction.
